Do you have a Goodwill bookstore in your town?
No, but if I we did I'd be in it all the time!
No, and I've never even HEARD of such a thing! I'd be there in a flash if we had one here!
@@Melanie220 Lol- that is just how we felt!
What up Catholic’s special forces ladies much love ❤️ keep it up . 👍 you will never stand alone 😊
Thank you! Your kind words mean a lot :)
Wow! I'm impressed! We don't even have a bookstore in my town, except for a hole-in-the-wall with a lot of ratty romance novels stacked in piles. You have to drive an hour to get to a real bookstore.
We do enjoy our used book stores! Lol- why is it that ratty romances just seem to be everywhere?
How fun! Oh I just love visiting the Goodwill in the big city but a whole bookstore!! I would be all over the vintage & cookbooks. One of the times when I took my mom to the hospital in the city, I found a vintage St. Therese and a cookbook from the 1930s and it was $5 for both!
Thank you for being with us !
That was an amazing find, Lena!
We have a Goodwill where I live, but it sells all kinds of things---clothes, small appliances, furniture, books, etc. Habitat for Humanity also has a good selection of books. I buy them for $2.00, then turn them back in for others to buy. Second-hand books are such big business now people buy them up quickly to resell.
Yes- reselling is a big business, but it makes us happy because it keeps many good books out of the land fills. Postage costs keep going up, though!
This was fun to see. I live out in the country with miles and miles of corn and soybean fields so my book shopping is done online. Also, Kate, you have the most beautiful hair!
Aw- thank you!
Didn’t know they did that. Sounds pretty cool.
It was new to us, too. Neat idea- just wish the prices were a little more thrifty.
That’s a good-looking store. I don’t have a Goodwill bookstore in my area-as far as I know-but I hope we get one soon.
It looks like this is a Goodwill trend- so maybe you will have one soon :)
Ok so now I am not "late to the party" but just running to catch up! I think I was about 2 videos behind.😂
Thank you for this peek into the GW bookstore. It looks really nice. We don't have one in our town and sadly most of the chain bookstores nearby have closed. 😢
Oh, that is too bad! We love our bookstores… but we also have found lots of great books on line.
We have a goodwill bookstore but all of the charity shops in my city are ridiculous prices. Kids books are like $2. Adult books start at 3$. Every other town we visit they are 25 cents. I visited a mission thrift store in another town yesterday and got a catholic book for 33 cents. I was in heaven.
It is always fun find a store with prices like that!
We don't have a bookstore of any kind. We can go 10-15 mins to get to one, but it isn't great. That town also has a Goodwill. I've gotten some classic children's books there. To find anything Catholic, we have to go to St Louis area.
St. Louis must have some pretty good used bookstores, though? Could be worth the drive :)
I have one fairly close to me, maybe 15 minutes or so but I haven't gone. Books are a weakness and I currently have more books than I feel comfortable owning. I love your bookshelves, but I don't have beautiful spacious bookshelves so I need to declutter some of my books before I get any more. (Even the Sophia Press books once a month are beginning to clog u[ my storage....)
Lol, Ann- we feel your pain. we are constantly fighting the book tide here, too
